Bad for Me Maybe good for Others

I think I am going to do a WEF. And most probably don't even remember or know WEF. On Friday I accepted a job from the man.  Here is the biggest downside.  The have muzak!!!  My office is absolutely beautiful.  It overlooks the golf course of the resort that I will be working.  They do not have outside internet connections so I won't have FFR anymore during the day and night.  Not only will I not be able to listen, but I won't even be able to check the boards, read, and post.

What was I thinking?  I know that some will be happy, less cher to listen to and chaka, as well as my soap box preaching---

Oh, to be self employed again.  I can't wait.  I have not gone to an office in years, and its killing me, especially since I have to dress in a suit everyday--tie and all.

Hope everyone is well.  I will check in when I can.  I have got to find some way around it.  I am hoping they will let me bring my laptop and take advantage of the wireless the resort has, but am doubtful.  Best wishes everyone.  Have an extra or JD for me.  I am already going through the FFR withdrawl DT's

I am already sick about it.  I am so used to getting up in the am, walking over to my home office and tuning in to FFR.  Now I have to shave and put on a tie and can't listen.  I will though put it on every morning before I leave and just leave the volume low.  I keep it on during the night most of the times too--just mute the Bose.  This is just not good.

Not good for me CP, but maybe good for your new boss.

I am happy that you found a job and feel well enough to start working. Who knows how things will turn out, maybe it will be temporary. I hope it means you get to stay close to home!

Good luck, we will be here when you get a chance to check in!

We will listen to Chaka and Cher for you.

taking a job that has no FFR ?  Wow ! those meds are good !

BIG congrats on the job !

now for some "new" math, ,   lets see , last year away from home most of time , a few minutes of FFR here and there , now home every night , FFR for a few hours. yep , your ahead.

also when you get up in the morning hit the requests first ,then do the work prep thing , maybe catch a tune before you leave.   maybe you can set it up with JR for him to play a Cher/ Chaka song during his show ( if the timing works )

Hey CP . . . I'm happy for you, and sad for you at the same time.

Good luck with the new job!

It's going to be interesting, because my last job was contract--so I could get away with alot--I have to tow the line now in the real office environment and I have not done that in over 10 years.  Before the contract, I was self employed.  I may only last a day or two.

You can do it CP. Stop looking at the negative. You have a job, with a beautiful office, overlooking another one of your favorite things, a golf course. Life could be a hell of a lot worse. And like Dave said, you can still come home and listen to FFR, and now you'll be home to listen.

I'm sure it will all work out in the end. We will miss you, but it will make the time we are able to hear from you that more special.

Mz, you are right, as always.  thank you.  I only hope I am not returning to work too early.  I am still supposed to be recovering, but i can't sit in bed anymore.  it's too boring.
