Denver romps over New England 27 - 13 in Denver as New Englands hopes of adding to their Dynasty crumbles early.
Seattle Seahawks win at home 20-10 despite losing Shaun Alexander for the second half of the game. Not the prettiest of wins but a win none the less. They'll be hosting the winner of tomorrows Carolina / Chicago game.
SUNDAY GAMES....
Carolina heads into Chicago where they're expected to finally put an end to the Bears fantasy season. Expect Carolina to come in take charge from the start. Prediction: Panthers 24, Bears 6. That's right, I said it, nary a touchdown for Grossman and the Bears.
Pittsburgh is a good team, but they might as well just stay at the hotel and call in a forfeit. This will go exactly as it should, with the Colts winning big. Prediction: Colts 34, Steelers 17.
BTW bit of bad news for me...over 98% of the Marching hundred was able to participate, less than 10 out of more than 150 responding alumni were selected to march...I was not one of the few picked....they had thought they were going to have many more holes, but the junior band came through....Oh well, I'll be watching on the telly, & can once again focus on todays 2 Super bowl contenders...the Colts & Da 2006 Super Bowl XL champion Chicago Bears....no dream here all you wishfull thinking cheeseheads that are so bitter this time of year....
You Bear fans out there, what was this...your first winning season in what, like 53 years?
You are really gonna need therapy after their crushing loss today....if it doesnt come this week...then Seattle will reintroduce you dillusional FIBS to reality.
Sorry to burst your bubble..... But it hurts less if the band aid is ripped off fast.
But I am glad you came to cheer on the Bears with me. I am definitely out numbered around here! But when they win, I can be alone and brag, brag, brag!

Yes as you can see, cheeseheads know how to count...Bears won Superbowl XX (that's Twenty in Roman numerals for those in wisconsin)....And we are coming up to Superbowl XL (that's 40)....Yep Dylan....40-20 equals 53.... can't argue with your logic there...
Oh & I guess we aren't counting the 13-3 record in 2001....guess that was 53 years ago too!!!
But win a couple more and then you will have won the same amount as the Packers.
Win a total of 12 NFL championships and then your team will be on equal footing as the Packers.
So enjoy your team's anomaly of success. And of course....when the Bears are eliminated before even getting to the Superbowl.....going 4-12 or losing in the play offs, the result is the same......No Super Bowl title.
Well, when you're surrouded by the drunken Brew Pac to the north, & the evil Cardinals in st Louis to the south, ...you gotta lean to have a sense of humor!

I'm not quite sure you want to call it an anomaly of success, considering the Bears are the winningest franchise in the NFL!!!!!! check it out ....
And if you are counting those packer championships before they were known as the super bowl, then don't conveiniently forget the Bears 8 Championships...packers may have had more postseason sucess, but the Bears have had more success overall...
Jeremy Riggs wrote: Hey Rube, how's that Bears / Packer record been over the past 12 years? HMMMM!?!?!?
Hey, if you are going to dredge up 11 championships that happened 40 years or more ago...then you also have to acknowledge the head to head record over that time......
If you are going to cut off the time at an arbitrary point like 12 years...then lets go back only one year...this year when the Bears are 11-5 and the packers are 4-12....I can do the arbitrary number thing too....
Oh and as for being around so long to get that many wins...The bears started in 1920....Packers started in ...1919...and the bears still have more wins.....so I guess just because you are around longer doesn't mean you'll have the most wins.
not according to the hall of fame website....the packers were formed in 1919, though they didn't join the NFL til 1921...still they started in 1919, bears started in 1920....once again, it's that crazy cheesehead math that would say the bears are older....
