I weighed again this morning and lost another 2lbs since last Monday. I walked over 18 miles this week and have not gone hungry . . . just cutting back on the high calorie and high fat stuff.
That makes a total of 4 lbs lost in two weeks which is 1.96% of my total weight. I'm right on 200 lbs now so breaking under that again will be nice.
My goal for this week is to keep up what I've been doing and increase my walk to 3 miles/day.
Reporting kind of helps me with motivation . . . gives me a little accountability. Don't want to report that I didn't do anything and gained a lb back.
You're doing great Web! I'm still waiting to get the treadmill from my sister. So I've just been trying to watch what I eat. We've also bought some ingredients to try new recipes.

The hard part for me is I'm a "fix it now" kind of person. When I have a problem to solve, I want to get it fixed and move on. Slow progress on a goal is really hard for me to struggle against.
I've been looking at treadmills and elliptical machines. I would really like one for when the weather is bad, but I think getting outside is good for me in other ways too. It takes me out so I can't stop to answer the phone or answer an email. Kind of a forced work break.
My dog is loving this too! She can sense now when I'm starting to get ready to go walk and she goes nuts.
I've been to the Y twice now for about a 45 minute workout each time. Right now I'm just doing 30 minutes cardio and 15 minutes strength training. I did great on Wednesday, but Friday was a more tiring day at work, so it was a little harder to get through the whole thing. I'm going to see how I feel tonight and I may up the cardio to 45 minutes.
Also, since finding out that 100% cranberry juice counts as water, I've been drinking a ton of it. And when I want a pop, I just mix half of a gingerale with some cranberry juice. I love it for now, but I'll have to figure out what to do when I get tired of cranberry juice.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go powder my nose...
I don't have any pets because I rent. Web,I totally agree with your reasons to take it outside. My situation is a little tricky. My husband also wants to lose weight, but he recently found out that he's going to need knee surgury. So we were trying to think of something he could do that wouldn't overly aggravate his knee. He tends to over do it too. I'm afraid I'd get him outside in the cold and he'd walk too far and then pay for it later.

I am slow in getting started. Somewhat because I am trying to have my knee heal some more. I am starting on my workout tonight. My first DVD will be after I arrive home. I guess I should weigh in before I start. I am just too lazy to get up and work out in the morning even though I would feel better. I probably will head out to the Y open house in a couple of weeks and see if I want to join.

Molly - when I need something different I just throw a little lemon or lime in my water. I drink water while I am here everyday and sometimes it gets old. So I just try to switch it up once in a while.

Ok, I met the scale this am. I am also down two pounds! I have stepped up to harder tapes this week, I am feeling much more energized and sleeping like a baby!
Mostly Denise Austin. I have about 7 of her tapes- pilates, aerobics, step aerobic and fat burners, I also have a couple of various no name tapes that are all aerobic or dancing. I try to change them up every week. Some are easier than others! I also have 8 hours of Denise taped right off her Lifetime morning workouts- those are my favorites!
