A while back I mentioned that a local radio station was holding a contest to have a local band open for Bon Jovi when they are in town.
I tried to cajole Late Night Drive into submitting something, but I don't think they ever did
At any rate, the contest wrapped up and they played the entire single that the band submitted on air today (the submissions had to be 100% original). I was really impressed with the song, and excited to add it to our playlist.
BUT HERE'S THE PROBLEM!
Their website (the group is called Northern Room) is very fancy schmancy, but the BUY THE CD LINK doesn't work!!!

These guys are unsigned so I'm sure this is their only sales avenue other than at their concerts. YOU JUST got your song played to an audience of 50,000 or more, a percentage of those people are likely to head to your website to buy your EP. MAKE SURE IT WORKS!
Even in one half of a percent thought to go buy the disc you could sell 250 CD's or more, but how many of those that were turned away today will return?

PS. Apparantly Bon Jovi is doing this in every town they go to, and at the end they'll choose one band to get a recording contract!
I found a this song finally, but I have to make sure it's ok with the artist for us to play it. I don't know if they've protected the stuff with the RIAA. I'm sure they have, but I want to be 100% positive.
Hopefully I'll be able to play for you guys during the morning show. I really think this could be a hit on the station. It's a great sound.
