It is country, but here are the lyrics:

19 Somethin'

Written By: Chris DuBois & David Lee

I saw Star Wars at least eight times
Had the Pac-Man pattern memorized
And I've seen the stuff they put inside
Stretch Armstrong, yeah
Well, I was Roger Staubach in my back yard
Had a shoebox full of baseball cards
And a couple of Evel Knievel scars
On my right arm
Well, I was a kid when Elvis died
And my momma cried

Chorus:
It was nineteen seventy something
In the world that I grew up in
Farrah Fawcett hairdo days
Bell bottoms and eight track tapes
Looking back now I can see me
And, oh man, did I look cheesy
But I wouldn't trade those days for nothing
Ah, it was nineteen seventy something

It was the dawning of a new decade
We got our first microwave
And Dad broke down and finally shaved
Them old sideburns off
I took the stickers off of my Rubik's Cube
Watched MTV all afternoon
And my first love was Daisy Duke
In them cut off jeans
A space shuttle fell out of the sky
And the whole world cried

Chorus:
It was nineteen eighty something
In the world that I grew up in
Skating rinks and black Trans Am's
Big hair and parachute pants
And looking back now I can see me
And, oh man, did I look cheesy
But I wouldn't trade those days for nothing
Ah, it was nineteen eighty something

Now I got a mortgage and an S.U.V.
And all this responsibility
Makes me wish sometimes

Repeat 2nd chorus

Nineteen seventy something
Ah, it was nineteen something

OH MY GOODNESS!

This is what I love about music. No matter how much I think I know all about it I'm constantly be surprised!

People have been requesting this COOL NIGHT by Paul Davis for EVER, since we started the station, and I've never been able to find it. I never thought it was a big deal because I didn't remember it.

This is the first time I've heard it in decades and it instantly clicked in my head as "OH YEAH! THAT SONG! I LOVE THAT SONG!"
