I can't believe I haven't told you all about this before now! This guy at work let me borrow a game for playstation 2 called Guitar Hero and it is so awesome! It plays rock from the 80's and some from now and you have this plastic guitar that you play. It sounds really hokey and when he let me borrow it I thought he was nuts, but I loved it and bought my own. Then I took it to a New Years Eve party and hooked everyone there on it. My cousins started playing it at about 11 at night and didn't quit until 10 a.m. the next day. Then they kept it for a few days and reluctantly gave it back, but searched and searched until they found one of their own. You have got to try this! If you love playing air guitar and rock music, you will love this game. Let me know if anyone gets addicted.

My friend brought this over to my house a few weeks ago. I agree, it i so cool!!! Apparently in Japan they have a set up where you and your friends can have your own video game band!
I've seen reviews on this as well. They all have said pretty much the same thing that its hard to get an adult to play it because it looks silly, but once you start its hard to quit.
My son plays it at least once a day! It's also raised his level of awareness of music. He had me go and buy some CD's for him and they were awesome. I have a new love for Sum41. Of course, if I hear "I am iron man" one more time, I think I may scream.
It is a new game and it can be hard to find. They have it at bestbuy.com and eb games also carries it. It was hard to find locally for my cousin, but it was right after the Christmas rush. The game costs around $70, but you get the game and a plastic guitar. The guitar alone is $40, so it's not that bad. I would like to get a second guitar. I think the Easter bunny may be bringing that to my son.
Just a warning, it is addictive. I'm not any good at it because my ring finger on my left hand doesn't bend, so it's really hard for me. I do try, though, but you know - it's not much fun being heckled by an 11 year old.
