Mindy, when a celebrity lives in the public eye, for good or bad, everything they do is scrutinized.

Just because she is a celebrity doesnt make her immune from poor judgement. But the picture may not have told the whole story. I wouldnt insult her or defend her unless I knew the whole story.

Please dont give up voicing your thoughts. If I have ever made you feel defensive...I am sorry. But understand that the Forum is a place where we can agree to disagree sometimes. Its okay for friends to disagree. Heck, JD and JR have had some knock down drag out political brawls, but it is kept in the confines of discussion. Communication is good.

its not about agreeing to dissagree.... its about some feeling like they know everything- and they never make a mistake. everyone makes mistakes. whether you can admit it or not- everyone makes mistakes, you wouldnt base you life on one mistake you made, would you? so how can people say britney is a bad mother b/c of one mistake she made? mistakes do not define who we are as people, its our character in overcoming our mistakes and learning from them that defines who we are as people.

If we didn't express our opinions on things the world would be a pretty boring place. Besides, in the end do you really think Britney Spears cares if Jeremy Riggs thinks she's a bad parent.

The only person she needs to be concerned with is herself, her family, and maybe child services (I read a report that based on the photo's she was paid a visit).

Myndi was right, if she wasn't in the public eye this wouldn't be such a big deal. But she is, so it is.

A star like Britney wants to have the world watch her every move when it suits her purposes. She'll dress as revealing as she can, she'll do whatever it takes to get attention put on her. You can't turn that off like a light switch. It's a choice she's made to live her life in the public eye and as a result she needs to be on high alert to do things the right way or she's gonna get called out on it.

She was wrong to drive off with the baby on her lap. If the paparazzi were indeed "chasing her down" Princess Diana style then they were wrong too.

But everyone has a right to their opinion, and just because they don't mesh with others opinions doesn't make them wrong, it just makes em different.

We all, EXPECIALLY BRITNEY, should just be grateful we're talking about a simple mistake. If she had really been racing away from the press and had an accident this would be a much uglier story and the guilt on both sides would be immense.
