Ruby that was 40 years ago. They HAD to then. There were only three networks and getting on Ed's show was the pinnacle at that time. Plus they didn't have the clout they do today. I'm surprised they are making a big deal out of it. I think it's their way of keeping themselves in the spotlight.
I thought their set got better as it went but Start Me Up sucked. I thought Mick sounded like he was out of breath.
I guess after the other fiasco, I just find it hard to believe that the NFL would not go over every second of the act. Oh well, we will never really know the truth!
