What is your definition...

of a Dufus?

On casual Fridays we have a guy that still buttons his very top button on his collar without a tie. And wears really dressy shoes with Kahkis.

Guess Kramer automatically comes to mind, because Elaine would call him a "hipster dufus", which always makes me laugh.

I would probably say that a Dufus is the same as a Gumby:

gumby /guhm'bee/ /n./ [from a class of Monty Python characters, poss. with some influence from the 1960s claymation character] An act of minor but conspicuous stupidity, often in `gumby maneuver' or `pull a gumby'. 2. [NRL] /n./ A bureaucrat, or other technical incompetent who impedes the progress of real work. 3. /adj./ Relating to things typically associated with people in sense 2. (e.g. "Ran would be writing code, but Richard gave him gumby work that's due on Friday", or, "Dammit! Travel screwed up my plane tickets. I have to go out on gumby patrol.")

so, is this guy married?  if the answer is yes, i can't believe his wife is letting him out of the house looking like that!  maybe you should get hold of ambush makeover so his "hot" side can be revealed.  or you can have fun and write "kick me" on a sticky and give him a "how's it going, buddy," pat on the back....

First of all he is married, his wife wears so much make up if she were to hit the wall face first it would leave a clown imprint.

Second, he's the Boss so that might explain alot! He's fun to make fun of ehrn he's not around.

Isn't it amazing how much an office is like a circus?

We had a guy at the place I used to work who would always wear suspenders, shirts with french cuffs and cufflinks, and two tone wingtip shoes, and we really didn't have a dress code. He was head of a department and thought he was all that, and he would always sexually harass the women. Although numerous complaints were filed, he never got fired for it. He eventually did get fired though, for plagarism.

I had a part time job once at a place where the 2nd shift supervisor for something or another was ALWAYS ALWAYS in the bathroom primping himself. Not a bad guy, nice enough, but dude, go be girly in your own home bathroom. It was really uncomfortable to have to go to the bathroom knowing this guy was just adoring himself in the mirror.

To top it off he looked like this guy...

 like, exactly.
