I am sure my hubby has been, but I threatened with divorce if he ever went. If he respected that remains to be seen, but maybe he would go now. It is pretty new around here. One of the ladies I work with- REAL BAPTIST- took her hubby there for his birthday. She said they will never go back. I could not believe that she went to begin with
I guess I'm weird. I don't care if my hubby goes there or to a club once in awhile. If he was a regular then that might be a different story. I just consider this his "guy time" just like with hunting.

We don't have one around here, but my parents just got one up by them. But I've never been in one. I don't care if my hubby goes, but I probably wouldn't go because I'm repulsed by the objectification of women.
What my husband does is his own business, I don't mind as long as he's only looking. I married him because I love him just the way he is, I'm not out to change him. But then, he doesn't tend to like places like that, and respects women, that's one of the many things that made him marriage material in the first place.
I don't want to sound like a goody-two-shoes here, but I've always been 100% against the chain.
I agree with Mz that I think it objectifies women and I think it's a horrible message. I also think it's a ridiculous double standard.
If some woman tried to open a chain of restaurants called Dicks, and she only hired well endowed men that had to wear skin tight shorts showing off their "package", don't you think there would be a big uproar (as well there should be).
I've never given a dime of my money to them and I never will. The owners sure knew what they were doing though. They've done very well.

Well in my hubby's defense---He has only been duped into going to Hooters by my step-dad who is a regular & has their calenders & stuff. The clubs he only goes to with his brother once in awhile to shut him up. His brother is the exact opposite of my hubby which is probably why I don't care for him too much. My hubby has stated that he really doesn't care to go.

She said she wouldn't care if it was just going with a buddy a few times a year but if it became something I "needed" to do once a week to get my "fix" then that would be a different story.
There's a small regional airport about 1.5 hours from here. Anything big enough for a commercial jet though would have to be Lincoln (three hrs.) or Omaha.
I went once with a couple buddies when there was one downtown in milwaukee- it was right across the street from the theater that Hall & Oates was playing and we had free tix that night.
This is already probably 8 ys ago- I would've been 27-8 then, but I remember the girls were all like 18, tops. I felt like a dirty old man, even then.

I've been to Hooters once, about 8 years ago we went to Alburqurque NM with my In-Laws and they wanted to eat there. I am pretty old fashioned and was embarrased to be there with my wife and her mom. But they did have really good wings!

Boy oh boy... Here I'm thinking we've got a cool music thread started about Rob Hyman & the boys. Hmph.
OK, let's see - I have only been to Hooters once - back in the early 90's. Neither my husband nor I liked their food, which as I recall, was pricey. And the outfits weren't all that sexy, so we weren't really moved either way.
Has anybody seen the South Park spoofing Hooters with "Raisins"? Hysterical.

LS, yes, that South Park is hysterical! Did you see the one when they formed their own dance group and they got the girl from Raisins to shake her butt? That was hilarious!

I've never been there and I really have no desire to go. My husband has never been to one that I know of. He drove by one once that was having a charity car wash. My 11 year-old really wants to go to one, but I have said absolutely not. My hubby does not go to strip clubs or things like that because what is good for the goose is good for the gander and this goose would be in hot water if I ever went to a male strip club. There was a stripper at the bowling alley we were at once and my husband physically stepped in front of me to keep me from watching. This was in the first year we were married. He set the tone, I just keep the beat.
