I saw a rerun on Conan Obrien Late Night from December or so...

KT Tunstall was on the show...She has a presentation similar to Jack Johnson....but more heartfelt....

she started by looping a simple guitar progression through an effects pedal, that would repeat....

Then she sang a small phrase (Kind of an OOOooohhhh) that would serve as a looping background vocal.

Then she started singing her song and had a tamborine she would stomp on for percussion purposes.

What it amounted to was a very full sound....and only made her sound that much more amazing to me...she is indeed very talented.

She did this all during her performance live...very cool

I am not sure if her album was recorded in this style...but her music is clearly worth a listen
