It kills me how many people can't open PDFs. I almost always send PDF documents, because the software is free and widespread, so theoretically, anyone should be able to open them. It's amazing how many people email me back and say, "It won't open." Am I alone on this?

I was much happier with v6 than 7. But I am being forced to use 7. I have a 5.5 version that I even like better.

If you are going to interact with the rest of the computing world, you gotta have something that will read PDFs.

A lot of the tax research that I do leads me to PDF files.

But...I got an email yesterday from the youth group. It was done in publisher I think. (.pub) Well she got an email back from all of us- can't open it!

Now that bugs me too from the other side. People that assume that everyone has the same software they do.

Its on my computer, isn't it on yours?

I'm proud to say I've never been an owner of a Micro$oft Office product . . . and I can still do everything I need to do!

But I think it's safe to assume that everyone has Adobe Reader. And if they don't, why not? Isn't that the point of Acrobat?

I have version 6, send all my proofs out as PDF's not had anyone come back yet saying that they can't open it, I hear you on the publisher thing, we get loads of people coming in with publisher documents, it drives us nuts, we have it, but hate using it, but thats life I guess, we just adapt and get on with it.
