Hi all!  We are alive and well, alas suffering the effects of a firewall upgrade here at the office. Now, we can get to the website, but can't get the sound from FFR and it takes forever and a day for the forum page to actually materialize.  The background comes right up by but the rest of it takes some time.


We've also both been having an exceptionally busy week so far.  Nothing bad, just super busy. Pambo's hubby is home and doing fine. I have been trying to find a moment to drop by and say "HI" to everybody, it's just been crazy.  Seems like everyone in the company has been trying to wedge in every conceivable meeting on every possible subject early in this week because tomorrow is 'Big Money Friday' for the company... the salaried employees get our bonus checks and our merrit increases, along with our regular payday.  This of course means that most of us either take the day off or leave really early to go spend like crazy. In case you  are wondering, I will be in the latter category... leaving early... but not to actually go shopping, just to go to the "Big Money Friday" party some of my friends have planned.

If Pambo gets to stop by, feel free to harrass her. She ditched me for lunch today because she now has to have lunch once a week with her bosshole.  Today they went to a place called (I'm not making this up) Elephant Bar. Insert obvious joke here.

I do have to say that the bonuses came out pretty well this year.  The way it works is based on your job grade you get a certain amount that you are eligible for.  From there what you actually get is either more or less based upon how the company performs on certain goals that pertain to your division.  The division Pambo and I are in kicked butt last year.  They cut off the measurements for those considerations effective the day our merger completed, so at that point we were ridiculously ahead of plan. If I remember right, our pay out before taxes is something like 156% of what we were eligible for.  Not too shabby if you ask me!!
