First song I heard was THE WORD.

Not bad. Still not hit material (Prince has put out very little hit material the last decade or so), but it's a good song none the less.

Man what'd I'd give to hear another song on the caliber of LET'S GO CRAZY or WHEN DOVES CRY

I like the song Love- Its got that Red Corvette era heavy bass and early 80's styled deep synth. Sounded like wendy and lisa doing the background. Definately the Revolution style Prince sound revisted. I liked it- its like a more mature, laid back groovin prince without all that lip-smacking woooooooooo woooooooooooooo woooooooooooooooooo!!

I think the biggest problem with this album so far is that it sounds like a lot of the pop that's out right now. The problem is, current pop wouldn't have that sound if it weren't for Prince. So, he needs to do something new to be at the forefront again.

I've only heard two songs from this CD so far, but at this point I'm really liking it too.

This LOLITA is just fun. It started out kind of so-so for me, but it's really picked up steam now.

Get On THe Boat- Prince seems just more calm and funky on this album- no need to shriek and go WAAAAAAAAH AAHHH AH AH AHHH AHHA OOOOOOOOOOooooooo!!!!!!!!!


Can I just say this. And I know he could not deny it- Prince is a BarKay's hack. Prince wants soooo bad to be Larry Dodson. And I am not saying that that's a bad thing or that Prince is not talented. He absolutely smokes on guitar. Maybe not on this album? But yea, if Prince could have been born 20 yrs earlier he would have wished to be Larry Dodson.


I'll play some BarKays Sunday night. Then we will talk about funk!

I am gonna pick this and Roseanne-season 3 up tomorrow.  Not exactly a masterpiece but probably one of his most consistantly good albums in the past 15 years.  I like it more than Musicology.
