I like the first car thing.  Mine was a 1980 Chevette.  My dad bought it at a government auction.  It was solid white, vinyl seats, AM radio, no air, no power steering, no power brakes, no power ANYTHING!  It was a glorified go-cart.  After my dad put a blue pin strip down it, I thought it was beautiful!

I had an 81 chevette! I concur!

I put mag wheels on mine, the one thing you don't want to do is bump it in reverse doing 70 down the Hiway!

I used to tell everyone I drove a vette.

I assumed Dad was maintaining the car for me.  I let my run out of oil.  That moved it to the back of the farm with the other junk cars.  Dad was able to salvage some of it though.  He put my bucket seat on his green John Deere.  (How many statements in that last sentence revealed how RED our necks were/are!!)

Cool post!

My first poster - KISS...they had these posters that were like 6 feet tall with several different shots on them.  They were standing on glass pedastals over colored smoke on this one...

My first album - KISS Alive II & Double Platinum.  I got them both for my 10th B-Day.  (See a pattern here???)

My first cassette - Something home recorded.  I thought store-bought cassettes sucked until the chrome ones came out.

My last cassette - Smashing Pumpkins "Siamese Dream"

My first CD - Aerosmith "Rocks"

My first girlfriend - "Kerry"

My first auto - 1977 Honda Civic.  Gold with 2-tone stripes.  Hand me down from my sister in 1984.

What's pitiful is that you're all older than me, but my first car was older than anyone else's listed so far. A gray '79 Buick Century, I named it the USS Slug. It lasted an hour.

First motorcycle, still waiting, but I'd love a Buehl or a sporty little thing (aka, a crotch rocket).

I was paid $3.50/hour my first job.  It was grading tomatoes on a tomato farm.  We were in a metal shed with no air conditioning.  It was the month of July and it looked like something out of "I love Lucy".  The tomatoes kept coming at us on a conveyer belt.  We then had to put them in boxes according to size.  The worst part was the flies!! No. The WORST part was the  one day the pickers didn't show up.  They sent us out there.  That was the longest row I'd ever seen.  I'd NEVER had sweat drip off of my nose before.  I can remember looking up and thinking if I can just make it to the end of the row I might not die.

TG... I can soooo relate.  McD's was my first tax paying job... my first paying job was working for my dad.  He had greenhouses in which he grew hydroponic tomatoes. I think I was 9. It was my job to sweep out the greenhouses. Oh man, that job sucked!

My first poster was a life-sized picture of Mark Spitz in all his glory.  He was wearing a Speedo & all 7 of his gold medals.  I got it when I was about 6...right after the Olympics.  I LOVED Mark Spitz.  He was my hero.  I LOVED that poster...until....my little brother decided that Mark needed to go swimming.  My brother & Mark spent a few minutes splashing around in the bathtub then, Mark dissolved.  I HATED my brother for that one.

My first car was a 1977 Fiat sedan.  I loved that car.  I bought it with my own money & I thought I was the coolest person EVER when I was driving it.  Some dipstick rearended it while it was parked & totalled it.  I still HATE that guy.
