Anyone remember Ma & Pa Kettle??? His primary line was "I got to get to that one of these days..."


Where are you Pa Kettle??? Things you know that you want to do or get, but they don't usually register high enough on your to do list that putting them off for yet another day isn't a big deal???


One of these days I so need a new grilling tongs!

One of these days I need to replace my boot strings with ones that are the right size! I bought the smaller size because the store I was at didn't even carry them, and I am NOT going on a shoe-string hunt!

One of these days, I am going to go spend a lot of money on new bath towels. THese ones are allright, but the thought of replacing them at $8 a pop doesn't appeal to me.

That's weird JD . . .

I was bored while eating lunch today, so I was flipping through the JC Penney flier that we got in the mail. Thursday and Friday the "Bigger Towel" are 1/2 price at $3.99.

The weird thing is that I saw that and thought "Hey, thats a good price for towels" and now, I saw your post about expensive towels. Karma or what?

I caught this bath towel thing from my mom. THat's why the gift to me for Christmas is a gift-card to Kohls. Her reasoning is "I could never stand spending what they wanted for the bath towels I wanted, its much easier to use up a gift-card with this need in mind...LOL"

I need new headphones for my MP3 player. The earbuds I have don't fit into my ears right. Maybe I'll get them tomorrow. No, I'm busy tomorrow, maybe the next day...

I need an egg yolk seperator. I only eat egg whites, and I always make a mess passing the egg back and forth between the shells. I know it'll only be $1 at the Dollar Store, but everytime I'm there, I don't think about it, and I don't want to make a seperate trip just for that.

Actually, I have a whole plastic surgery wish list.  Lipo, tummy tuck, boob job... it goes on and on.  My other best friend mentioned to me that he caught an episode of "Nip & Tuck" last night... he never watches that show, but caught the story as to why this lady decided to have a boob job.  He said he thought of me as he was watching because she is going through similar issues with her family that I am with mine right now, and that she decided to take a couple weeks away from them and get this done.  I told him I'd love to do that, and as a matter of fact I figure for about $20K, I could some day be a pretty woman.  He never responded to that comment. I guess that means one of two things... either he's trying to get the financials together for me, or it made him mad.

i'm not very brave when i comes to change, but if i had a plastic surgery wish, it would be for more junk in the trunk -- right now, it's pretty flat.

In the cosmetic surgery area, not really plastic surgery, but I would have Lasik done. I would love to be able to wake up in the morning, open my eyes, and actually see things instead of blurs of color.
