The Quilt Case

Ruby and Mz had asked to see this when I got it done. It took me long enough to get it finished and then the lady in charge was on vacation but that gave the finish plenty of time to cure and not be so stinky, so that is ok too.

The real quilt that is going in it was not there when I delivered it so I put one of my beautiful, quilted, packing blankets in it. lol

Its about 48" square, 10" deep, and there are locked doors on both ends so it will open up for easy access.

I'm glad to have that one finished . . . on to the next.

Thanks everybody.

Next, is back to refinishing old stuff. I don't have anything fun to build now.

No Dylan, no dovetail joints . . . its not wi-fi enabled either.

Yes Ruby, I designed it. The part I struggled with was how to make the sides open up but still have the necessary strength and this is what I finally came up with.

Very nice.

I'm glad you specified that the picture doesn't show the quilt it was actually made for, because my first reaction was "Wow - nice case, but why on earth would someone do all that work to display that thing?!"

I'm very jealous of your talents Web, I'm useless at making things, wouldn't even know how to start something like that.

LOL - At least I used one of my cleaner packing blankets and not one of the stained ones.
