Ray- Riggs linked me up to the main server, so everything is all on main broadcast server now-he just did this this past week- and its great! Yes- Black and Blue by Gene Harris! My 2nd favorite (next to AL Russel) local over-night jazz dj, the late Ron Cuzner, used to end his shows with that song, and in homage to him, I use it to close mine. When I used to work alone, 3rd shift, that jazz show was a friend to me. A dj right there, all night long, playing the songs, locally, enjoying them live with me. Very much like requesting songs here on the station, I could call up 3 in the morning and ask "Ron, please play this if you have it" and he would, by 4 am. The show was called "The Dark Side" and it ran for decades. I am convinced it kept many many many 3rd shift Milwaukee workers sane for generations. I am happy and priveledged to have been on the tail end of that.
