Proof Once Again Big Radio Sux...

LOS ANGELES - The Federal Communications Commission has opened an investigation into alleged payola practices at four of the nation’s largest radio corporations after settlement talks stalled, it was reported Thursday.

Two FCC officials with direct knowledge of the investigation confirmed that the agency had requested documents from Clear Channel Communications Inc., CBS Radio Inc., Entercom Communications Corp. and Citadel Broadcasting Corp., according to the Los Angeles Times.

The agency wants to learn more about accusations that radio programmers received gifts, cash and other items in exchange for playing certain songs at radio stations without publicly disclosing the deals.

The sad thing is most people aren't smart enough to realize the drone music they are pumping out at you you don't have to like. They think that's all there is so they'd better like something I guess. I refuse to listen to any of the new stations!

I blame live365 for the limitations of Freeze Frame. I think they totally over-sold themselves and their abilities to provide competent service to broadcasters. It is amature radio, but for what they get, it should be professional service for all of us. And its not. And they know it and don't care. Live365 is nothing more than coke-snorting arrogant know-nothing bastards. Times are a changin, and they have yet to figure out what it is that they are even doing in the first place. Live365 is so 2002, and their arrogant coke-head incompetence affects us as broadcasters, because it affects our ability to provide anyone who tunes in with, at the very minimum, a competent service, a good consistent stream. I can forgive growing pangs, what I can't forgive is the frigging arrogance on their part. I despise live365. Talk to any broadcaster that has used them for any length of time , and I promise you their stories are 4x as bad as this.

I cannot thank those of you who tune into Freeze Frame enough. Thank you so much for finding us in the first place, thank you doubly for staying tuned.

So, JD how do you really feel about live 365? I think your sugar-coated post leaves much to the imagination.

JD you make me laugh. I can picture the foam and probably the cussing that goes with it. It sucks when you want to throw or break something but your can't cause you're in your house and you have to clean up the mess!
