Hold up.  I've noticed at least 2 pronunciations for Wisconsin.  Those who don't live there say "wis-CON-sin".  Those who live there say "wis-GONE-son".

I forgot.  When my daughter was little she called it "wits-GONE-son".  If anyone said it the way she said it, she would very sternly say, "It's not "wits-GONE-son".  It's WINS-gone-son!"
