Every morning on the radio station I listen to on the way to work, they have a trivia question for prizes. Although I knew the answer to the one they had this morning (unfortunately, I didn't get through), I thought it would be a hard one, but the first caller got it right. So, I was curious if anyone here knew it.

Today is Robert Fripp's birthday. He's produced albums for Peter Gabriel, and contributed to a few David Bowie songs, in addition to leading his own band. What's the name of his band?

I'll give an extra hint. We have one song by this band in the request list, and I was the one who sent it in. And I know of him through his regular band, who I've seen in concert, before I even knew of the work he did with Bowie.

Okay, there was a harder yet related one this morning:

Bill Bruford's birthday is today. He often plays drums in King Crimson. What other progressive rock band did he also play drums for from 1968-1972?

My hint: this band is a little more mainstream than King Crimson, we have 5 of their songs in our request list, they are heard on the radio, especially classic rock stations.
