Only if you've watched "Donnie Darko" too many times...

My Mom has a bunny, and she doesn't say much either...  She sure is cute, though!

Yes, she lives in the house in a cage, but my Mom lets her out every day for supervised exercise & to hang out.  Rabbits actually "housebreak" themselves.  They don't like to poop where they eat, as the saying goes.  If you put a "Potty" in the cage, they will soon figure it out themselves.  She's beautiful - I wish I could post a picture of her.

if i didn't have an inside dog that liked to eat bunnies, i would love to have a bunny in place of a cat (sorry sparky / ally) cos my daughter is allergic to cats.  sounds like they are pretty low maintenance like cats.

no problem I don't want to live with a stinky dog any way... I would think twice about a rabbit if she's allergic to cats rabbits are very similar (allergy related) to cats. Most people are a little worse with rabbits than cats. Not to mention rabbits smell worse than cats, even clumping litter and scooping regular it always smells.

Actually, rabbits are very clean animals.  They groom themselves constantly, as do cats.  And if you change their cage every day, as my mom does, there wouldn't be any smell whatsoever.  But I agree that rabbits are more high maintenance than cats.  They can be skittish, and probably do better with a calm surrounding than a household of loud kids.
