Actually, some expensive wines have screw off tops now too. It helps keep it fresher longer.

It's mostly the fruit based wines, since they don't keep as long.

wine or whine?


We have a winery based just a few miles away called Prairie Berry, that makes all kinds of wines using mostly native to SD berries and fruits. Thats what we almost killed sparky with the Razzy Rhubarb wine. He was sick for 2 days

Rhubarb wine...even people that drink moon shine that is a notch below jet fuel wont touch rhubarb wine!

If you want to hear WinaFreds at the same time, you'll have to come down in the next couple months. Marc is moving to Chicago in late July. But they're talking about doing a few gigs there.

Actually the wine I tried to kill Sparky with was really good, I don't much like rhubarb and I hate rasberry even more, but the combo was good.

but hey would you and brian ever go to a chicago gig by them? how far is chicago from bloomington?

I only ask because I'd head to chicago in the bat of an eye, whereas bloomington requries proper planning!

Chicago is about 5 hours away, but yes, there would be plans to come to Chicago for at least most of the gigs.

hey- if we were to solidify the plans, & I were to send down a bit of money, could you maybe throw a case or 2 of the Oliver red in the trunk, and put the rest of the money in yer gas tank??  & maybe keep a bottle of two of the wine?
