HBB was taken off the air years ago.

This is just a special HM Month they're doing, showing all of these documentaries on metal bands & stuff.  It's been great!

I know, that's my point, I miss that show.

Man, I wish I had cable.

I highly recommend the Led Zepplin dvd- I borrowed this from a buddy at work and it was just phenomenal- not only their great music, but the classic and rare footage- this is a MUST have.

Very few Led Zeppelin performances were caught on camera during the band's life-span, but the footage that has been preserved for posterity is collected on this release. With a running time of over five-and-a-half hours, this is the definitive word on Zep's global stage-straddling performances. The footage is taken from London's Royal Albert Hall in January 1970, London's Earls Court in May 1975, Knebworth in August 1979, and Madison Square Garden in July 1973. Guitarist Jimmy Page has taken great care to restore, remix, and remaster the sound from these shows, providing a visual and sonic axsault that offers indisputable proof of Led Zeppelin's reputation as a rock & roll behemoth. Additional footage comes in the shape of several television interviews, a bootleg shot of the band performing "Heartbreaker," behind the scenes footage from Knebworth, and a whole lot more.

JD, I have that box set! It's awesome!!

No, LS, I don't have either. And I can't get in any local channels except PBS. We watch a lot of Antiques Roadshow and Austin City Limits, but we get a lot of DVDs of shows and concerts and such from NetFlix. Netflix is cheaper than cable anyway.

You poor, poor, child.  How can you live without Comedy Central & the VH1 Classic?!

DVDs, my friend, DVDs. I've now seen every South Park episode that's out on DVD. And like I said, it's cheaper than cable anyway.

  That's funny!!!

What I was really going for was the Homer Simpson drool with tongue out thingie.  If anyone can find me an emoticon or avitar of that, I'd be so thrilled!

P.S. - Yes, I totally agree with you, Molly.  Robert Plant's butt is a work of art.

I watched last night for a bit. Loved it. Transformed me right back to the 80s. My heart was pumped and the mind flooded with the best memories.

Oh yeah!  Coming up (tonight or tomorrow night - I'm not sure) will be the glam & pop-metal bands, which I know you like too.

LS did you watch last night? SOOOO good! I forgot about the warning label hearings in the 80s. Now we just take them for granted- or ignore them. I need to wear a bib when I watch that show!
