Got a late start, but since JD isn't here Sunday and we have Monday to ourselves, the new Music Weekend is off and running.

This weekend it's JEWEL'S new CD ALICE IN WONDERLAND.

This is the first time I caught one of the tracks this weekend. It's the title track, and I'm not too impressed. I like Jewel, but I guess this song is a bit too country-ish for me. It just doesn't grab me.

aw she is all doing the emotive navel gazing thing- I think she broke up with her bull-rider boyfriend or something a few years back. Crud like that makes for just bad music. There's no "hook"- no chorus verse chorus chorus verse. Just a bunch of 1 directional emotional blathering.
