I think I have identified the Rob (or Robin) where I work. This is the lady who will volunteer to do something for someone else, then ask me to do it. Last week I explained to her why I park where I do, 2nd row, 4th spot over, so I can easily see my car out my window. Guess where she's been parking this week. She'll complain about the way something has to be done, and when I offer to show her an easier way that would save her time, she says she doesn't have time to learn something new.

I've tried to determine if she does this stuff on purpose or if she's just an idiot. Sadly, I think she's just an idiot. Or a knob.

We have loads of Robs and Robins around here. Tragically all of them are not in positions of harmlessness. I still think that it should be legal to tazer someone in the office for gross stupidity.

I truly wish they would let me have one around here.   I keep telling my boss that if I could have a tazer for a couple weeks, we could get the newbies trained more quickly and get the veteran Robs and Robins to quit their bad habits. He just laughs at me.

while this thread is up, it reminds me. somewhere I have a couple of cds of rob the knob's music. he makes up songs and records them at home. He asked if I would play them on jazz 101 sometime. I said yes, before I knew what a knob he was. LOL wouldn't that be a fun feature- ROB THE KNOB SONG OF THE WEEK!

I had to pull this one back up for my wife.

She works in a bank and probably every other day comes home to tell me what stupid thing their "Rob" did today. In this case, "Rob" is a female.

The latest is that they were talking about where to go for the annual Christmas party. There is a good restaurant about 35 miles from here that someone had mentioned going to. Others were concerned about driving home that far after the party.

Their "Rob" said:
"Hey, if it will help, I can be a designated driver . . . I'll just limit myself to only a few beers."



Aparently the whole concept of "designated driver" escaped her.

We have a whole new crew of Rob the Knobs, and they are rumor mongering wackadoos!  WOW!  I don't know what they are smoking to come up with some of the stuff that they do.  One of my friends at the office is unfortunately getting ready to go through a divorce. He's rumored to have all kinds of crazy stuff going on in his life that is so far off the mark. He's even rumored to be having an affair with of all people, ME!  Umm... no. Not even. Truth is, his wife is leaving him because she has a boyfriend on the side and she in nuts! I want to find out which Rob came up with that one so I can directly laugh at them.
