Nice day today, kinda warm.  But I'll take that over rain, or chilly weather any day!


Home inspection is being done this morning on a home we are trying to purchase.  Stressing about the whole home ownership ordeal, but I'll get used to it.  Better than renting.

Howdy, howdy everyone.

I got the family vanster an appointment with the van doctor to remedy a couple small "creature comfort" issues. It goes under the knife this afternoon.

In a little over a week, we are taking off for Lincoln/Omaha for three days. We plan to hang out with old friends, take the boy to the Omaha zoo, maybe stop by the S.A.C museum, etc. It will be nice to do something different for a few days. I won't be hanging out here all day, but I won't be far. I'll have my mobile internet and WiFi access at the motel.

I'll do my best to have a great. So far, so good.

Nothing has been said about JR going along. I'm sure he'd enjoy meeting a bunch of his cousins at the penguin display. I know from experience that the Omaha zoo means LOTS of walking. I'm not sure I want to carry him around that much. It might depend on what I take for a backpack, etc.

If you do not have a small penguin- little E might share hers. Let me know- he was real light and tiny and fit in a small fanny pack!

I bet at the zoo, for a large price a very small penguin could be purchased. I do think JR would be hurt if he were replaced with a younger version though.

We have plenty of JR representations. My wife loves penguins and between her and the boy, there are plenty to chose from. I'd just have to make sure I took a big enough JR that my hand would fit up his . . .
