Stock Interests

www.bigcharts.com

This is a great site for quotes, just remember that most market sites out there give a delayed quote.

I have a direct program linked right to the Exchange if you want a second by second quote.

Had to edit because I forgot about Market Watch.

Hey,

I think that's actually the same thing that gets imported into my Microsoft Money 2006 program Sparky!  It looks identical, but without the logo.  Maybe the got a partnership deal.

The reason I put this one up there is because it is so easy to use. You can also get quotes from msnbc.com and others.

JD, I think you have to refresh it yourself.

20/20 stock market hind sight . . .

About 10 years ago, my mother-in-law bought us 100 shares into a company that has a local plant here. At the time, it was $20/share.

Within a couple years, the stock price was up to $40 and they split it which put the price back to $20, but doubled our shares to 200. We've never really worried about it, just let it ride up and down with the market.

Today, I see it is over $60. That initial $2,000 investment is now worth $12,000 in about 10 years. 20/20 hind sight . . . I wish I would have dropped every penny I could have into it 10 years ago.
