One of the final touches for the new studio is the wood lettering I'm putting up and I would love to have a nice big Penguin image to put on the wall too.

I'm looking for a cardboard cutout or even poster I guess of a cartoon like Penguin. No actual penguin photo's, but rather as close as possible to our actual logo.

Does anyone know of any websites or stores that might carry such a thing? I've really had no luck surfing the web for this. Just a lotta dead ends and promotional crap for the movie THE MARCH OF THE PENGUINS.

Put the logo on a disc take it to kinko's or something like that have them print a poster sized image of it. get a frame that matches the other furniture and waaalllaaa you have the logo big.

Allycat,

The original logo is only about 3 inches tall. Would they actually be able to do that without it looking like a big blur?

I'll play around with it a bit in photoshop and see how big I can make it without it getting blurry.

A sign shop can, so I'm sure a good printer can. They might need a few days to play and get it a sharp image but it can be done. Photshop ect isn't good for blowing up images. If the are saved as a .tiff file they can be made pretty big without blur

I bet if your not in a hurry I know an artist friend of mine that would do it for pretty cheap, he could do a pretty large scale version of the logo. I know he wouldn't charge much either.


Also a characture (SP?) version might be cute too.

www.walmart.com has photo gifts area, 24x36 poster is $23.96 I tried copied the logo off the website and uploaded it onto their site to see what it looked lik and it was ok. How was the original picture made? You get better quality pictures if we are working off the original not copies.

Hey JR,

You could try (be careful now) Raster Bator. It will take an image and blow it up as big as you want. If you got the ink and the time, you could cover one whole wall with a penquin.

Oh yeah, I think Mz did tell me about that a long time ago.

Just a few weeks ago, DL.TV did a story on it and they had printed off some big posters. I think that is why it was so fresh in my mind. If ink wasn't so darned expensive, I'd give it a try myself.

Nah, I'm afraid I might break the glass on the copier getting a good image.

I'll just use the logo of my favorite Linux distro.

I've got the logo rastorbated. It gave me the image as a PDF file. Sometime, I'll get it printed, trimmed, and taped together and see how it looks.
