A question...

Hey!

You've all done this, and its probably automatic to you now, but if you were a new visitor to the freeze frame site, would it be pretty logical to you on how to get signed up to listen to the station?

Should we have step by step instructions on the homepage?

JD,

I was actually going to suggest that to you on Sunday. I was wondering if considering you are the technical writer you would want to make instructions up for all four players and we could have links...

How to listen with iTunes

How to listen with MusicMatch

etc. etc.

I think a lot of people don't realize their pop up blocker will stop our station from playing if they use the links on the home page.

I also think a lot of them have no idea how to tune in using Realplayer or MusicMatch or Itunes.

Ok riggs. we may have to walk through some of the steps as a refresher, but I am upto the task.

My main worry is

"Ok. I clicked 64k or 32k. Now I have to sign up for this like 365 thingy. Ok its free. Now where do I find freeze frame/ do I have to run a search for them? where?"

it would be good to have all this down. I got an e-mail a couple of sundays ago from a person who thought the station would start automatically playing once they got to the site.

Create a "book for dummies"

Title could be :  How to sign up for Freeze Frame Radio for Dummies.  They have a Dummies book for just about everything now.

sure JD, you are kinda the ring leader. You set them all up for the conversation and step away. Kinda like at the circus, they set up the lion tamer and then run away while the guys gets eaten.

I did a search on Real Player for all Live365 music stations. From there I have listened to a few, I wanted songs that didn't repeat often etc...

Anyway, one day while listening the DJ came on and explained more about the website, and how you can request.  My ears perked up and I typed in your website, and you've had me ever since.

So I better keep explaining that once or twice a day. We never know when a first timer may be tuned in!

Plus now you've reminded the other seven or eight people that never got their pens.

I better get out of here. I need to hope on the exercise bike and make a getaway.

I am hoping and wishing too.  I actually put on "deal or no deal" last night, and watched the red sox during the commercials.

But who knows, even when the game is a blow out like that one, there are always the cheap shots that the Yankees can start, causing chaos, or a bench clearing.

That is the best part of Red Sox vs Yankee games.

Hey JR,

I found freezeframeradio.com thru Live365.com.  I listened to you for quite a while before ever going to freezeframe and joining the process.  I think you could possible attract more hits to the site and listeners at the same time if: in the box where most stations put the musician examples, just say "All request, all the time, mention the genres and the # of titles, then post the website address right there.

I'm really questioning my intelligence here.  I'm not a VIP and will end up getting blocked out once the rest of the world catches on.
