Back during the 20 hour work days that were Hurricane Katrina...
I did a Google search on "free internet radio". I randomly chose Live365.com & tried finding some decent music. Since my tastes are so eclectic (or schizo...whatever), I figured i couldn't go wrong with 80s music. I tried one station that was pretty lame, then found FFR. I figured out how to request after messing with the main page for a while. I did a BUNCH of 6 packs during the long weekends. I liked the fact that this station isn't ONLY 80s. It's schizo...like me!
This all started around August but I didn't sign up for the Forum until November. I didn't think I had anything to say for all that time...then I saw the post about songs to add to the request list. That's when I figured I had something to say. Then...everyone started talking to me so I had more to talk about. Voila! I was hooked!
I think that when I heard live voices for the first time, I almost flipped! I didn't realize that there were REAL PEOPLE involved with FFR for a long time. That's why when I hear you talk, I think it's the coolest thing!
A reminder to me that I need to be on the air more often, and also a reminder to really push the requests and forum to the ones that just tune in and listen.
