So Sick Of Hearing of Violence

I don't know what it is. Maybe its cheap booze and lack of common decency and education. But it seems the ghetto parts of town in Milwaukee are going nuts. Police officers getting attacked, bitten, shot at. Here are our latest headlines.

6 shot, 2 stabbed in 12-hour period

Six people were shot and two were stabbed in six separate attacks over a 12-hour period, police said today.

Two remain hospitalized today.

A 21-year-old Milwaukee man shot several times in the abdomen outside a liquor store in the 4700 block of N. Hopkins St. about 2:15 p.m. yesterday. The man is in critical condition this afternoon at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital.

A 31-year-old Milwaukee man is in stable condition at Froedtert this afternoon after being stabbed in the neck and back in the 4200 block of N. 68th St. around 10 p.m. last night. Police said the man was arguing with his girlfriend when the woman's aunt stabbed him.

In the other attacks police said:

A 41-year-old Milwaukee man suffered no internal injuries when he was stabbed twice in the torso in the 3900 block of N. 11th St. around 11:30 p.m. Friday. The man said he was approached by three men when he was attacked.

Two Milwaukee men ages 18 and 24 and a 15-year-old juvenile were shot - two through the knees and one through the calf - while sitting on a porch in the 3600 block of N. 6th St. early this morning. Police are seeking three suspects.

A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was shot through the right calf around 8:15 p.m. last night in the 1700 block of W. Galena St. Police said the man was arguing with a neighbor when he was grabbed by another man, pulled away and shot in the leg.

A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was shot in the right calf when he fled a would-be robber in the 2000 block of W. Keefe Ave. around 8:19 p.m. last night.

Man shot, killed on N. Sherman Blvd.

The 34-year-old Milwaukee man found dead in the 3900 block of N. Sherman Blvd. yesterday suffered multiple gunshot wounds - one to the chest and four to the back - Milwaukee Police Capt. Edward Liebrecht said this morning.

The city's 43rd homicide victim has not been identified pending notification of kin.

Liebrecht said the man was apparently shot in a yard in that block around 9:40 a.m. Friday, then ran to a vehicle and collapsed in the street. He was found by an officer driving by and died later at a local hospital.

Police are looking for individuals who may have been involved in an argument with the man earlier.

Man kills himself breaking into home

Milwaukee Police are investigating the death of a 46-year-old man who appears to have accidentally killed himself this morning breaking into his estranged wife's apartment near S. 14th St. and W. Greenfield Ave.

Police said the Milwaukee man punched through the woman's bedroom window around 5 a.m., severing an artery in his upper arm., then collapsed in the street and bled to death about a half-block away. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Capt. Edward Liebrecht said the man appears to have been violating a restraining order the woman had filed against him. He was not identified, pending notification of kin.

We get criticized in Milwaukee for being a "segregated city". (And this isn't the case, my neighbor is a nice african american guy.).  But we do have ghettos, and I am glad that this is where these scumbags live. Not in my neighborhood.  You reap what you sew. Now off to prison with the lot of you!!

A routine walk through a north side neighborhood by Milwaukee police and residents turned ugly Wednesday night when a man attacked officers, biting one and injuring a police captain with the group.

Hey JD,

A couple of weekends ago, the last time we had that real hot snap that lasted over the weekend.

There were like 21 shootings in a 24 hour period.

When it gets hot the poor folks got no air and get ornary

The world is such a depressing place. I hate reading the newspaper- it is filled with sickos. I will never understand why people just do not want peace and happiness. You do not need money for those things. God has given us lots of free things to do. We have had a lot of homicides here too lately- yesterday a 22 year old guy was arrested for raping a 82 year old woman for nearly nine hours when someone saw him walking naked through her house. Yet he claims he is innocent. Days like this I have to out down the paper and go and hug E.

my son and i were driving home saturday evening and we had to stop at the filling station.  he went in to pay and i pumped the gas.  when he came back to the car he had a scared look on his face.  he mentioned that there was a wierd looking "gangsta" in the store.  i saw the guy and he did look troublesome.  anyhow, as we proceeded on our drive towards home he said, "my generation is messed up...."

I saw a bumper sticker this a.m. on the way to work....

"If you can't feed 'em, don't breed 'em"

I wasn't sure if it was a reference to animals or humans. Either works!
