Good day all. Mz asked me to apologize that she missed the shows last night. She went to visit her dad and they went out to eat, and there was corn in something she ate. She came home and went straight to bed (the benadryl she took probably made her sleepy too), but she's feeling better today.

aw man riggs.....after this sunday off, I should be set for awhile. At least a week or two!


Besides, I think the bigger issue is you goin part time here during the breakfast club, our listeners I would think agree!

ok let me remind you that if you take a vacation without approval you might just lose your bowl of m&m's and bottled water. The beer machine will be turned into a apple juice machine, and that fancy new "braodcasting" chair gone it will all be gone.

All my Sundays away from the studio are actually working vacations. As host of Underground 80s, I am OBLIGATED to represent the station at the hippest shows in town!


The English Beat 2 weeks ago, Bauhaus, next Sunday night. Its a sacrifice I make for the love of not only the station, my fans, the shows, and the music.


I am even representing the station on a MAJOR HOLIDAY. JULY 4th. While most folks will be grilling out with family, friends, and neighbors and then heading to the park for fireworks, I will dutifully be front and center for the Psychadelic Furs show at Summerfest that day!


Yes, it is a sacrifice, but for those of you who actually do tune into the Sunday night shows, I gladly make it.

I believe in the enforced policy of no recording equitment other than still-action cameras are to be allowed on to the summerfest grounds. However I am sure I could post a transcript of any

I think I did comment on it somewhere, but not on its own thread like I should have,,,,


they were PHENOMENAL! they had the guitarist from The Specials, Lynval Golding, as the 2nd guitarist, so it was neat to see 2 legends on Stage! The Sound was phenomenal- did a whole bunch of their great hits, and the General Public hits as well too- high energy show, I think Dave W was impressed with the turn out!


If they are coming to your neck of the woods, Go, absolutely go.


I could not help but spontaneously POGO when they did Save It for Later. I've loved that song for 26 yrs!

I think the funny part is that most of the fans were 35-50 yrs old, still trying to skank like they're 19. After awhile it looked like a remedial arobics class!
