Oh, sorry Ally.

I'm feeling better. Been a while since I had to run to the restroom anyway!

I didn't do much of anything today though other than my job. Hopefully tomorrow I can make up for what I didn't get done today.

How are you? Is it nice in SD tonight? We're expecting severe weather here! WOO HOO!

I am well. went for a long walk in the rain. Ran into my friend Amie who was returning from a long day of school and work. She thinks there's nothing at summerfest this year, and I think there is a TON of stuff at summerfest this year. dang kids.

I don't know JD, I tend to agree with Amie. I mean, it seems like this year is mostly has-beens, which I know makes you happy. But where's the BIG DRAW? Even the main stage is pretty tame this year.

Its a great summer night here is SD, 72 and just getting dark. We had dinner with my parents and went for a walk after we ate. There is a KOA campground practically in their backyard, so we walked there and took little A to play on the playground. A lady that works there was sitting at a campsite with a fire and making smores. I want her job, having a campfire and making smores and getting paid for it. What a life.

Glad to hear JR feels better

JD, sounds like a generation gap to me, does that make you feel old? I know everytime people talk about new movies or something fun that old people don't do it makes me feel really old, like a parent.

I think the main draw is the 30-something crowd. which I am ok with. no 100,000 drunk 19 yr olds buggin us to buy them beer, chatting during shows, etc. I love the 15$ admission fee and the $6 beers. keep the riff-raff out. appeal to those of us who grew up with summerfest and are willing to pay for the memories!

sorry no death cab for cutie or babyshambles or whatever this year, kids! elvis costello, blue oyster cult, bauhaus, furs, wilco, steely dan! I am made for summerfest, and it is made for me!!!

It always seems like the more expensive something is, its the riff raff that are attracted to it. Us hardworking people find it hard to part with the money.

Well, in general I agree with you JD. I'd love to see more of my favorite 80's acts there myself.

But they gotta get hipper or Summerfest will eventually die because it's no longer relavent.

Ted Nugent is only going to keep touring until he's dead, then they'll need somebody that had a hit in the last 20 years!

well I agree there is a generation gap, but amie is only 11 yrs younger than me. Its not that big of a gap! I guess its really what you chose to pay attention to. She doesn't know who the psychedelic furs are, and that floors me. But then again I was 16 when they were big, and she was 5.

I go through the same thing with my sister JD.

I gotta get her to watch all those 80's John Hughes movies, then she'll learn to love that classic music from back in the day.

riggs I feel that way about another of one of my favorite bands, the church. 2 yrs ago, they came to milwaukee, at shank hall. I was floored. All the way from Australia. I hadn't seen them since their last tour, must have been 1990. Then they came back. It was awesome. Then they came back last year, all right, sure I will go again! It was really good, glad they came back. Just heard yesterday they are coming back in August......now I am like "yea they are a working road band living off nostalgia.....they aren't going to get my money again this year...I am going to skip this one....maybe next year when they com back I will go, if its convenient..."

My sister is 14 years younger AC, and I HATE IT!

My Mom had some medical problems and lost 5 to 7 kids between me and my sister to miscarriages (I forget the actual number).

Erica was not supposed to even be possible! She's a miracle baby! Now she reminds me EVERY CHANCE SHE GETS how old I am

I'd choose baked goods. I'm not a beer drinker. I'll have one now and then, but my dream girl would show up with a bottle of Jack and a couple cans of Coke.

must be a forum problem. Or some messages must have been deemed imappropriate and removed by the host site?

Oh well.

he must be in the witness pretection, we gave away his "secret". We tried to bait him with beer to return to the studio but we had no luck. I hope he doesn't get outed, that would be bad.

Hmmm, this makes me wonder.

From what I remember there was no offensive comments occuring last night. I'll have to go and read the deleted messages and find out what I'm missing.

Maybe I didn't notice that Ally was swearing like a drunken sailor... AGAIN!
