16.5% of you don't see the homepage the way we intend it

Turns out our stats tracker has info on EEEEEEEEEVERYTHING, including what resolution you have your monitors set at when you visit our website.

Out of the last 550 visitors, 16.5% have their monitor set to 800 x 600 which means the website hangs off the side of the screen.

63.5% have it set at 1024 x 768 which is what it was created for. The remaining 20% have it set for even higher resolution making our web page SMALLER than their entire screen.

So I guess the good news is the web site looks fine to 83.5% of visitors. But darn those 16.5% with bad eyes!!!!

It's such a bummer when someone emails me and tells me they can't see half our page.

It's even more of a bummer when I'm at someone's house or something and I bring up the page to show them and it looks like crap because they have the monitor set so the letters are one inch tall each!

I am in the 16.5%, for a few reasons.


#1 eyestrain is one cause of migraine headaches


#2 computer vision syndrom, it causes many problems


#3 computer users on average need bifocals 7 years earlier than non computer users


 


so I have to scroll to see the buttons, oh well

Come on guys, we can reach a happy medium:

Download Firefox. Set your resolution to 1024x768. Then in Firefox, go to View, Text Size, and Increase it so the screen is easier to read. Then the page will still be visible, and so will the words!

We can see EVERYTHING. Looking at you right now I can see clearly you are a white guy, with hair, a nose, a couple of eyes and a mouth. Looks like you're wearing clothes today, and sitting in a chair.

Molly THAT'S NOT NICE!

Webguy, there IS a feature to turn off the smellivision right? And can you set it up so the X-Ray vision only activates when viewing members of the female persuasion?

Of course, we'll pay extra for these upgrades.

Seriously though Molly! That's no way for a lady to act!!!
