Well our boys will be coming home shortly having failed against the Portuguese...


Rooney got sent off....but we battled on ....no goals in normal or extra time...so the dreaded penalty shoot out...which shot us right out of the competition...

Tough game Pip. I made my mom put it on in the hospital Saturday. She wasn't going anywhere so she didn't have much of a choice. I saw the second half, overtime and the shootout. I was rooting for them. But when you lose Rooney to a red card (and then play one man down for about 60 minutes of play) and Beckham to an injury, it has to be difficult to recover. I still think a shootout is a lousy way to win or lose. But I have to say that Portugal's keeper play the penalty kicks vey well.

We took poor penalties and their keeper did a good job!!
