Anyone want to take bets on if I make it through the whole TV season sticking to my new rule?
Last season I finally got so fed up with the networks canning new shows that I enjoyed after only a few episodes I decided I am not wasting my time investing in shows when the networks themselves are unwilling to give them a chance.
So starting this fall I will watch NO NEW TV SHOWS, PERIOD! I may catch some of my old favorites like HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER and TWO AND A HALF MEN, but eventually I will watch less and less TV because I am adding nothing new to the lineup.
At the end of the season, if a new show that had interested me managed to survive the whole year I will buy the DVD Season of it.
NBC is now advertising the first show that has really caught my interest. It's called KIDNAPPED, and hour long drama that looks very good. It has several major stars in it too.
Now the question is, can I be strong?
I was thinking today as I was watching the promo, that with them starting ALREADY to promote it, a lot of these shows get more promotion time than they get actual air-time to prove themselves!
