Guns don't kill people. People kill people with guns.

If you plan to "bear" a gun... be prepared to use it. Too many people tote one without understanding how to function them. (sort of like cars & drivers!!!!)

Yeah, but my not having a gun doesn't change that any. I do believe that if guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.

I don't own one at the moment, but I do know how to shoot if given access to one.

Molly is right, gun control doesn't stop criminals, they don't have a respect for the law. The only thing that will protect the world from guns is education on how to use them properly. Children that are always told don't touch that are going to want to touch it, if you teach them how to use them in a safe manner if won't be so appealing. Those same children are less likely to grow up to be gangsta thugs because of the time they spent with their parents learning to respect the freedom of bearing arms or freedom of speech, choosing our religion ect...I personally feel better knowing that civilians have guns so we don't end up living in a place like Darfur where the "government" is killing thier own. Those people have no way of defending themselves and their rights.
