Giles has just opened his magic shop, we just found out how Buffy's "sister" came to be (FINALLY), and who/what she really is. Riley is trying to get used to the fact that he will have regular old human strength. Meanwhile, Darla was back from the dead, and torturing Angel in his sleep. He finally has confronted her during waking hours, and she tried to seduce him (VERY hot!) but it didn't work, and he got an awesome Buffy burn in, and then told her - watch out, now that you're human, & have a soul, you're gonna start to feel all of the guilt & horror like I did! Very exciting stuff.

I would assume it's not easy for a slayer to keep boyfriends. Personally, I wouldn't want vampires after me all the time, or using me as bait to get to my girlfriend.
