Dave, what do you mean? Why do you have to open a new window? You have the option of just turning it off if you don't want to listen through the website, just hit the stop button.

We're gonna have to stick with it for awhile to see if we can convert some listeners.

Right now out of every 100 people that visit our site only about 3 tune in. That is too low of a conversion rate.

Too many people are confused at how to tune the station in.

It's a less quality stream though. It's meant mostly for the people that can't figure out the regular way.

I'd recommend hitting stop and opening the normal player. But it's up to you.

This is just an experiment though, so it may not last.

 lets say I'm listening / foruming , if I want to check out another site I have to open a new window as the music stops when I leave FFR.


 ps- if I visited FFR and saw a snowglobe I'd leave or buy a shotgun.

Ok, I gotcha Dave.

Well for now, I HIGHLY recommend you turn off the stream and listen the regular way.

This will probably not last on the home page, it was mainly created for the MySpace page, but I'm working on a main page design that will make it as clear as possible to people how to tune in, then we can get rid of the auto-stream on the home page.

This is just a way to FORCE people to hear us when they visit the site.

What I'm trying to do is convert more visitors to listeners, and I'm setting us up to leave Live365 (at least in part).

I like it! I must get an e-mail a week "how do I listen?" this makes it easy! I also like that signing in the traditional way exists too for those who prefer it that way. Riggs you just spoke, mic sounded just fine!

I'll fill you in on the full goings-on when you come in Sunday JD, but we might be making the move to a whole new server soon. I think we'll always keep live365 as ONE source of streaming, but I found out how we can pay royalties on a monthly basis as opposed to that once a year mammoth payment to the RIAA, so now other streaming options are becoming available!
