I did break my two big toes at the same time once- cuttin iron pipe in penny loafers and not paying enough attention to where the cut off end would fall. I was 19 at the time, and for knowing everything, I sure knew nothing! my toes looked like that for 2 months! Ever been in so much pain that crying is impossible, you can only laugh at how crippling pain is? yeeesh!

to be gross, I had to toss out the shoes because they were soaked with blood!

Well, I guess I'll review yesterday, because I haven't done much today.

The alarm went off at 7, the song was a Sheryl Crow song. Which kind of made me mad, because I wanted to sleep for another 9 minutes, but the song was a good wake up song. I immediately hit the snooze button. At 7:09, I hit the snooze button again. At 7:18, I finally got up, used the potty, weighed myself, (I think I've plateued, but I'm not all that worried about it), and hit the shower. Got out of the shower, dried off, put on makeup, and got dressed. I decided to wear a short sleeved blouse and a light skirt yesterday, which turned out to be a bad idea. Then I kissed my husband and petted both cats, and had an uneventful drive to work.

When I got to work, I had 3 emails from coworkers demanding that I finish their project that day (even though they didn't give them to me until Friday afternoon at the earliest). That didn't put me in too good of a mood. I answered the rest of the emails, then checked the forum. Then it was time for our Monday 9am meeting. I got a cup of coffee with sugar and a little milk. When I put the milk back int he fridge, I decided to smell it. I poured the cup of coffee out and got me a new cup with just sugar. But the coffee wasn't very good, so the sugar wasn't enough, and I didn't end up finishing it. Which was a shame, because at this point, I wasn't dressed warm enough for the air conditioning and I was freezing.

The meeting was pretty uneventful. We went over the figures from the past fiscal year, which were all over my head. But, we had a record setting year, we exceeded our goals, and it was specifically pointed out that I did a good job. Good.

The rest of my morning was pretty uneventful. I answered emails, phone calls, did some paperwork, and finished two of the previously requested projects. Then I went home for lunch, made a sandwich and popped some yogurt, chips, and Capri Suns in a cooler to take back to work with me. I updated my husband's resume since I remembered something we hadn't put on yet. Then I printed him 10 copies and took him to the job fair and went back to work.

When I got back, I talked to the president about some potential applicants, ate my lunch, talked to our computer guy about the upcoming project, then went to work on the last of the 3 projects I needed to complete yesterday, which was the largest. I didn't get it finished, but I got most of the critical stuff done. I sent that person an email, told her it was mostly finished and that she'd have to live with it until the next day.

Then I went home. My hubby decided to go over to a friends house, so I got the computer for a while. I chatted on the forum and did some work that I needed to do on some projects at home. Then, my hubby got home, we had spaghetti for supper and watched Antiques Roadshow and History Detectives while looking through Museum Replicas and other catalogs. Then we went to bed, but I had a hard time getting to sleep. I finally fell asleep somewhere around 11:30, and dreamed some strange dreams.

I got to have a late lunch at Chuckie Cheese! With my very good friend from college who has been overseas living in Holland for the past 5 years with her husband. Last I saw her she had two kids and had just found out she was expecting her third. It was absolutely bizarre to see her yesterday with 2 kids and a 4 months old!! Fun to catch up.

Of course, I had to work late to make up for the late, and long, lunch. But I went to the park with my daughter and we explored new paths in the park and made a bizarre dinner of white rice and strawberries because the tuna helper I tried to make was absolutely horrid... then we watched Honey We're Killing the Kids and promised we'd eat better in the future!

I've had suppers like that before. Dinners that have turned out horrible, so then you have to scrounge for something quick to eat.

Let's see. There won't be much because of so much work.

Woke up this morning and realized that I had a weird dream about forum members, whose faces I couldn't see, searching for a missing forum member.

Got to work didn't want to work- blah, blah, blah. Started searching for a new avatar but kept being indecisive so didn't change it.

We got the air conditioner positioned right so that my clothes didn't end up sticking to me. I was happy about that!

But this was the best: I overheard the annoying coworker state that she was going to be off all next week! Woo Hoo! Which explained why she was overloading me with work.

I worried about where the heck Web disappeared to.

I talked to Web & Fuzzy. Always good.

I thought that my mom said that she was going to be gone for the night and was disappointed to find out that she meant the afternoon.

Dave made fun of me being whiny.

JD gave me his 2 requests!

Ending the day with a bowl of vanilla ice cream with some homemade strawberry topping.

I went to work today and was able to wrap up a couple of things that I had wanted to before noon. Rob the Knob wanted to talk about the Steely Dan concert but I just ignored him. Bunnyman made a real good pot of coffee.

Today was stormy and cool, so I stayed until 8 pm working on this project, which was ok- I am as caught up as can be now; now its hurry up and wait. So tomorrow morning should be pretty easy. I hope Bunnyman makes a real good pot of coffee again!

I got a sammich from subway that smelled funny. It had black olives on it which I usually don't get, and woo and I agreed that it was the olives that smelled funny.

My friend Lauren is retiring on thursday. I will miss her. She was only part time, but she is hillarious. We're thinking maybe dinner with her thursday.

I got home and dug around the internet and found some old Pink FLoyd with Syd Barrett videos to watch. Wow was he out there.

The President was in town today. Who knows, maybe he still is? I wonder if the president was a Syd Barrett fan. I've seen his college pics....

Right now I am just chillin here for a bit, I've got about another hr of reading I want to do before hittin the hay.

I started out happy just because its my day off and thats good. I then found out about my DHL guy dying then I was sad. Then Sparky and I went to lunch together (rare occasion). I had a mushroom and swiss burger that was awsome. We went out for dinner with my mom and dad to a little restraunt about an hour away called Desperados. Sparky had a Pork loin and I had a steak mine was excellent. Oh and the birthday cupcakes were a huge hit, he ate 3 of them...OMG he's not going to sleep after all that sugar. Over all it was a pretty good day, nothing overly out of the ordinary but ok.

but then again, I'm not the best sleeper....but I was WIRED after 1!!

Yesterday morning, as is my usual morning routine, the alarm went off at 7, I hit snooze, the alarm went off at 7:09, I hit snooze, the alarm went off at 7:18, I grumbled and got up. I was still feeling pretty beat down from my allergies acting up the night before. I washed up, put my hair in a ponytail, got dressed, and hopped into the car. On my short drive to work, on the street that I turn off of, there was a fire at one of the buildings and they blocked off the road right after where I turn. I was so happy it didn't interfere with my drive.

It was a pretty typical morning at work, answered emails, checked the forum, worked on a couple projects. Then I went to lunch at 1 and had a vegetarian pot pie and took my husband to a job interview. Then when I got back, my boss was here to interview people. So I worked some more, checked the forum, then had a meeting with her about my new position and projects. Then my husband called, his interview was over and needed a ride. So at 5 when I picked him up, I found out he needed the ride because his Pink Floyd flip flop broke.

So then we went home and I went to work out at the Y. It was a pretty busy day and all the elliptical machines were full, so I signed up for the next available slot and did my strength training. Now I realize why I always do it in the order I do, the strength training was harder because I wasn't warmed up first (and the machines I usually use were taken, so I had to improvise), and then I was tired when I got on the elliptical so I got worn out on that fast.

Then I went home and we made supper. We had organic mac n cheese, peas, and I had a Mahi Mahi burger and my hubby had a steak. Then we were pooped, so we went to bed early.

Spent a lot more time on the forum then I intended too. I read the "Once Upon A Time" threads and was laughing out loud at work. Not the best thing to do but very few were around at the time so all was good.

I was extremely tired so was excited to just go home. However Hubby had other plans in mind. The trouble with being married to a Director is that his work is never done. So we had to swing by the shop that is less than a mile away from home. But it's a pain because the street you have to turn out of has no light and is very busy! Then he dragged me to the store looking for a floor jack. He did not find it but he then decided we were going to do a little grocery shopping while there. We didn't get home until 7pm. I then was saddened to discover that one of our fish died. He wasn't beat up so not sure what happened. His name was Fireball. Hubby then still had to cook the lasagna that we pulled out. While waiting for that we watched the 2 episodes of Rockstar: Supernova that we missed.

After dinner I had to hurry up and go find and complete a birthday card for my mother-in-law. Her birthday is Sunday so the card will be late. While working on the card, I chatted with Web for a bit before he went for his walk.

After all that I went into the living room and started writing down what I wanted out of the new Stampin' Up catalog while watching the latest episode of "Rescue Me" with hubby. Then it was time for bed.
