I got to tell 4 people I know of who had trouble (ie lack of skills) to get the radio station up and running on their computers that they can now just visit the website and it will start playing! Bunnyman is one, and he is as pleased as punch. The others will most likely tune in for Jazz 101!

Unfortunately our auto-stream is in jeapordy.

I'm working on that right now. Technically the rights management service we're using doesn't allow such streams. If the count still shows up correctly I doubt it will be an issue, but if it doesn't show all the hours we're racking up then we won't be able to use them.

That means we couldn't legally keep the stream running Well, not without spending about $2,000 a year anyway.

I HATE THE AUTOMATIC STREAM! PEOPLE SHOULD JUST USE LIVE365! would it be illegal from the myspace too?

I hope it works for you. Its really cool that new people can easily tune in. Once we get our hooks in them, we can always teach them the other way in, but until we get them hooked.....hhhhhmmmm.

Yeah. It would be illegal from anywhere.

I think the company is BSing me though. I don't think the RIAA gives a crap whether you go through their site or not, they just want the advertising revenue they can charge when they get more hits from everyone going to their site first to access us.

Like I said, if the royalties are coming out accurately despite the connection style, I don't think it will matter. So I'll have to see in a day or two.

Otherwise we have to deal directly with the four licensing groups and like I said, that's $2000. So we'd be stuck with Live365 and having people NOT LISTEN because they can't figure out how to tune in!!!

I CAN NOT BELEIVE HOW COMPLICATED THIS ALL IS! It's like they're doing everything they can to keep people from doing this! How stupid! they can live with regular radio and only see one one hundreth of a percent of their music get airplay or they could embrace internet radio and start breaking some new artists for a change!
