I would die without my eggs I don't know how you do it Molly! I do only use the egg whites, but then I buy egg beaters and add a little of that just to get the color back Man that sucks to be so limited in what you can eat! Expecially at your young age!
yes, it just breaks my heart... i'm always wanting to feed people. when my daughter was dating her vegan boyfriend, i would always be wanting to feed him. my husband would get mad because when they'd come home for the weekend, i would stock the fridge with things he could eat and drink, and i would cook meals he could eat -- meat on the side...

Compared to the corn, the eggs are easy. I'm getting used to it, but I'm spending a lot of money on groceries since I now buy a lot of organic stuff. I didn't like eggs much before, when I ate eggs it was only the egg whites, but really it's the whites that I'm allergic to.
The hard parts are when people invite me out to dinner. Going out to eat is no longer a treat. And the no birthday cake thing is going to be hard too, I used to love cake!
Actually, I'm not following my diet as well as I'm supposed to. I'm also allergic to mold, which means I'm not supposed to have mushrooms or cheese, but there's no way I can live without cheese. I figure it's not a food allergy, it's the mold spores that bother me, so I don't watch that part as close.
What exactly happens when you have these things in your diet again? Is it literally life threatening?
Not yet. I have to carry an epi pen, because it could be, but I've never had that bad of a reaction. I usually get a werd headache and my throat tightens and I get eczema on my hands. Since I've stopped eating these things, I've also been more motivated, my skin is clearing up. The whole reason I went into the doctor was because I was feeling dizzy all the time to the point that I didn't want to drive, and I haven't had any problems with that since either. Basically, I feel like myself again.
