If you didn't know what a Dovetail was... I remember my mom telling my brother his hair had a dovetail in the back, thats what I always thought about with that name.
I had a friend named Jimmy Riggs in school so I always pictured him as Riggs.
Jazz Doctor, I remember someone saying he looked like Bud Bundy so I always associated him with Bud.
Confuzzed, At first I was always thinking about the movie Dazed and Confused.

That's what I thought about Sparky too!
I knew about dovetails from antique shopping, so I always figured that's what it was about. Then he used the avatar of some of his actual dovtails, so I knew I was on the right track.
I figured Confuzzed had a problem signing up for the forum, and that's how she ended up with the name.
I always thought Asisson was the name of some fantasy character from a book or something.
I thought jstdve, before he explained, was a swimmer and it mean Just Dive.
I always thought Ultimo was a wrestler-type name, so I guess I wasn't far off there.
I remember we all thought WFTR was a radio station...
I think that's the only people I really had impressions of based on name alone. The rest I formed more due to the avatar.
The names really never meant much to me, but that might be because I'd been on enough forums that I knew they didn't really necessarily mean much.
The avatars people used the first time are the ones that really formed an image in my mind. I've said before that Mz is Molly Ringwald in my head forever now.
