Dave if or how much my neck and or back hurts tomorrow depends totally on this guy.....attitude is everthing.......

I found out he has 3 speeding tickets in the last 5 yrs -each one for 16-19 miles over the speed limit in a 55 zone...

We can do cash, or we can do the police report/ insurance companies way. His call. What we can't do is a lot of himmin and hawin' and whinin.....

Awww geez you're lucky this a-hole even has insurance! He won't after this though! If he has a brain in his head he'll pay you because he WILL be dropped and he's gonna have a tough time getting new insurance.

I hate that there's a-holes like that out there on the road making it hard for everyone else.

JD, if you have even the SLIGHTEST soreness tomorrow I would say all bets are off and go through your insurance company. If this guy pays you cash you forfeit your rights to future medical payments for the injuries because you didn't fill out the proper paperwork.

I love the sound of that AC!

Someday when I'm rich I'm gonna hire a small army of minions to walk around behind me emphasizing all my points by yelling out in unison "YEAH! WHAT JEREMY SAID!"

You're SO hired!

In fact, you can be the groupie supervisor. Weed out the ones that don't seem to be with the program!

Hey JD, you calmed down yet?

Those Mike N' Ikes kickin' in yet?

I think it took about three days for me to stop getting annoyed when I thought about that stupid Brinks truck driver hitting my car.

Poor schmoe my a**

He clearly doesn't pay attention to his driving and when he does he's doing nearly 20 miles over the limit on a regular basis.

Next thing he hits might be a kid thats crossing the road.

What???????????  Cops only go to the scene if there are injuries????  That is a crock.  Well that rule here would alievate our department from going to about about 4 out of 5 accidents.  I don't like that idea of having to go the the police department to do the report either.  Think about that?  The scene of the accident really gives you a better understanding of what actually happened.  You see both cars, the damage, witnesses, intersections, signs, etc....

Well at least you are not injured.   Cars can be replaced, lives cannot.  I know how much of a pain in the neck (no pun intended) to get through all the paperwork and hassles of getting your car fixed, thankfully once again you are ok!

thanks for the kind wishes all- got up this morning, not sore- I will be taking a main street instead of the freeway to work tho- just to see how the car feels/ see if the alignment is out of whack.

I know Darling- I was suprised too that they wouldn't come to the scene- especially during rush hour???!!! Maybe I should have called the sherrif?

Ruby there's a wisconsin court website where you can check on peoples involvements with the law.

O.K. Just joined in on the conversation. I hate to be a stickler for the rules, but I would turn it into insurance. We had an accident back in December of 2005. Some guy ran a red and we couldn't avoid t-boning him. My neck didn't hurt right away and I didn't have any pain for a little bit. Then my neck started going out. I ended up having to have physical therapy three months after the accident. Going through the insurance and the police protects you. You have documented proof that it was his fault if anything should ever come up and there is any litigation. This might not happen, but I hate to depend on other people's honesty. It's let me down before.

Glad you're o.k., JD. I'd hate to have to hunt down some guy in a Beamer station wagon for hurting you. I've heard they can put up a hell of fight.

he called me and I went to get an estimate on my lunch-break $1057.20. I called him back and he said he would have the money together on monday. So its in his hands- i get the cash monday or the police report gets filed and we go through insurance.

I checked with the dealer and he said I could go anywhere so long as they use Mazda parts, the warranty would still be in effect. So I went by a place by my house- my bosses' brother and law's place to get the quote. I'd most likely have to leave the car for 2 days if I go there, so I wanted to be able to walk to and from there if thats the case...

When I had my car accident in October after a 17 year old hit my BRAND NEw Car.  I tjust showed up as an incident even tho it was over 4000 in damages. I am not sure if it raised his premiums or not. I am glad you are ok tho.
