We had fun! We're only home for a little bit until we go see the Wina Freds play for the last time with our friend Marc. I'll post a couple pics in a minute.

No, they're going to find another bass player, but it won't be the same. And yes, Marc and Jada are very close; they are the founders of the band.

As promised, here's pics:


We stayed at Fanta Suites again last night. We got the Arabian Nights room this time. The walls were painted to look like we were in an oasis in the middle of the desert. The bed was in a sheik's tent, but there was a dark mirror over the bed that looked like it had starlight shining through it.


And of course, the oasis itself was the whirlpool.


We went to the Children's Museum today. This is from the mirror maze.


One of our favorite exhibits was the 1800s/1900s one. This is the log cabin with authentic dishes, cookware, supplies, etc.


The 2-D barber at the Story Avenue/African-American stories exhibit was threatening to cut off Brian's ponytail!


I had to take a spin in the Indy Car... (It would've helped if they didn't have it adapted for kids to sit in!)

But I think our absolute favorite was the DinoSphere. They had sounds and lights shining on this huge dome to look like the sky. When we first walked in, it was night with stars, then it got sunny, then it sounded like the T-Rex got the Triceratops it was after, then it started raining and storming. That along with the dino bones was so cool.

We're not sure what we'll do next year, but we're thinking of growing up a little bit and going to the art museum. There was a Chihuly exhibit at the Children's Museum, but it was very conservative for a Chihuly exhibit, but I think it still got us thinking about the art museum.

That motel room looks pretty cool . . . what a fun place to stay.
