Good Saturday Mornin' to ya!

It's a comfortable 66 degree's here a little after 8 AM.

Heading out to buy a desk and some other stuff (things my short-lived personal assistant was going to do until I had to fire her for insubordinance).

Hope everyone has a great day! Drink away, it's as always a six pack weekend!

Howdy!

Hey JR, you were up early and seem chipper this morning.

No major plans here for the day . . . just usual Saturday stuff.

Hey Web, Ruby & JD (when you wake back up).

I am chipper today Web. I love redoing stuff, so I'm pumped about setting up an office to help really dig into the business I want to start. Plus I've found it is IMPOSSIBLE to do any non-radio related work in the studio. It's a nice set-up for radio, but not so nice for spreadsheets and planning

I'm a little bummed though, got to Office Depot BEFORE they opened to buy my desk and found out they don't sell desks via the store anymore. OH, THEY GOT THE DISPLAYS THERE, but everything has to be delivered. I figured since that's the case i might as well go online where they have a better selection.

The best part of it all is that I have no rooms left for an office, but my living room is huge, so I'm sectioning off a portion for the office. That means while I'm working I can enjoy my big screen TV WOO HOO!!! I'm SURE I'll get a LOT of work done THAT way

How's your day starting out? You guys got some nice weather going on out there? It's been really great here the last two days.

Oh hey Web,

I also FINALLY broke down and ordered two of those laptop drive cases off ebay. $17 for the pair.

I'm such an idiot. I probably drove 150 miles total, and visited about 12 different stores looking for those stupid things.

The ONE place I could almost certainly have found them is Milwaukee PC, but I shy away from them because they're always overpriced.

But let's see, 150 miles, 30 miles to the gallon, 5 gallons, $15 in gas and four or five hours of my time wasted. Gee, I guess next time I should just pay the extra $2.00 and go to Milwaukee PC!

JR, sorry you weren't able to get the desk today. Before long, the bathroom will be the only room you don't have wired and a computer in . . . I'm so proud!

Yes, our weather has been awesome the last few days! We're expecting mid 80's today. Perfect for this time of year.

I think you will like the drive cases. It will turn those spare hard drives into extra large "thumb" drives. I keep one in my backpack so I alwasy have it with me. It makes transferring files (or backups) from one computer to another very easy.

Well Web, I used to keep a wireless laptop in the living room, but now it will be free, so I supposed the bathroom WOULD be the next logical stop for it

Good afternoon all. I saw only about a half hour of morning, we ended up staying up late last night. Got some chores done, and even made some progress on one of my many projects. Now I think I'll play for a while, then tackle another project.

We were watching This Old House today, and they added this system that looked like a LAN jack, but they could plug anything into. It could be a phone line, internet, cable, etc., whatever you wanted it to be. For some reason, instantly I though of Web... (And I am so not touching that bathroom thing! TMI TMI!!!)

MZ- for all the wiring / cost involved you would think it would of been cheaper to go wireless .

This guy was going really extravagant on everything. Specially made furniture, doors, stairs, it's pretty bad. But the system is one of those houses where everything works from one remote.

And JR, had you heard about the new toy Web ordered?

You mean my new bathcam ??

Waterproof for the shower!

I've seen that wiring system advertised Mz. I haven't looked at it too close, but they claim it will be ready for about anything in the future.

This guy's basement was just a variety of circuit boxes for all the stuff he installed. I guess the wiring system sounds cool, but again, pretty extravagant.

they were tossing out a bunch of stuff from when they remodeled our area at work. I almost grabbed this one thing that kinda sounds like that LAN thing- It was a power strip with all sorts of jacks, a coaxial cable connector. It was pretty bulky tho.
