I wish we did,  maybe I wouldn't feel like crap. I have had some kind of allergic reaction again. My lips are swollen.

I wish I knew it just kinda came on again. I've only had this happen a couple times and all recently. I look like I got popped in the mouth.

I just watched an x-files episode in which a man aquired the ability to move faster than time, so he could punch someone and be on the other side of the room.

Any co-workers got it in for you?

Seriously though, you gotta figure out what's causing it. Since it's your lips maybe it's something like another womans lipstick or something. I'm sure you share a phone at work, you could transfer something there.

Hmmm. Have you noticed it only happens at work, or only at home, or anything like that?

It happened the first time at work, I was working with a girl that wears no make up or anything. The last time was a day off and I was with my mom. This time I was off maybe an hour and it started while driving across town. I can't think of anything thats was a commoin thing about those days other than stressed out crappy days. Can a person get ives from stress?

Sure! Stress is amazingly good at creating physical symptoms.

When my Dad was first diagnosed with cancer it sent me on a three month stress trip like I'd never experienced. Actual physical symptoms where I could be fine and suddenly I was dizzy, naseaus, just a mess.

I even had people comment to me that "you looked like something just hit you and you went pale, etc".

I wouldn't doubt that if you have a stresful day it could come out in a symptom like you're describing.

It's also possible you're overlooking something that is still common in those three instances. Something you ate or drank. Something you touched. Hmmm.

Why was your day so stressful? Just the annoyance of pain in the butt customers?

I was the only manager on duty for the past week and I hate having to deal with whiny employees and nasty customers. I can handle one or the other but not both. I had a lady scream at me on the phone because she couldn't see without contacts but hasn't had an exam in 5 years. Like thats my fault? I can go to jail if I were to sell her contacts. I just had an all around bad day. Nothing went my way from the start.

yeah, it's annoying when people can't understand that you're just doing your job.

I know they've gotten so strict on contact lenses now. But I just stock up on em' during my year with a valid prescription. Luckily they haven't gotten to the point yet where they keep track and only allow you 52 pairs of weekly disposables

Most people understand ok but some people just argue. I also had an employee snap on me today because I told her she needed to go to lunch now. She wasn't ready I guess. Sometimes I really hate my job.

I wouldn't want to deal with that kind of stress anymore.

I think I mentioned here before probably my most marketable skill is that I've held several supervisory positions of some fairly large departments. If I wanted to enter the job market again as a career that would be the logical direction to go, but I couldn't stand it.

Everyone thinks they could do your job better. Everyone wants to know why so and so gets to do something but they can't. Can I come in 10 minutes later everyday so I don't have to deal with this? Can I leave early? Can I skip my lunch? Why can't I skip my lunch? BLAH BLAH BLAH

People are just flat nuts. Everyone is too focused on their own issues to ever take into account the bigger picture. They're just worried about how something affects them and they bitch bitch bitch.

Arrrrrrrgh. bad memories are resurfacing. I must stop thinking about this now

My wife works in a bank. She's not in a people administration position but she fully understands dealing with customers that can't understand why she can't just bend the rules for them . . . "Becasue I could lose my job or worse, go to jail if I do that".

On my route I get to my first bank about the time they close, and I have to wait outside for about ten minutes before they put the days work in the hall so I can take it down to the processing center.

In only two months of this new route I have seen at least three people SCREAM at the poor bank employees who bring that work out because the person "JUST HAS TO GET IN FOR ONE MINUTE TO CASH THIS CHECK" or "IF YOU DON'T LET ME DEPOSIT THIS RIGHT NOW MY MORTGAGE CHECK IS GONNA BOUNCE".

They actually get ticked at the employee because they're closed, and have an attitude like "Well YEAH you're closed, BUT YOU'RE THERE! YOU COULD STILL DO IT!"

Yup, that happens quite often. Small town is a little different as most of those people are neighbors and friends so either the customer isn't quite as loud, or they let them and and take care of it to keep them happy.

I'm gonna have to check out.

I've gotta be at church set up, tuned up, and ready for practice by 8:00.

I hope you both have a good night . . . Ally, I hope you feel better by morning.

'Nite.

How come no Olive Garden, Sparky said he was gonna bring me some breadsticks

I agree with the people thing. The hardest part of my job is I actually award people college diplomas. There are people I know that might not have a college diploma, but they do their jobs better than these people do in college or in the real world for that matter! I meet with people all day and I get A LOT of attitude thrown my way

My mom and dad worked all day in their house and didn't want to go out. I didn't really want to either after my day.

Yay! No Olive Garden and we got to eat at the place I hate the worst. It makes me sick every time we go there.

Oh well, I think maybe Little A and I will go to the Olive Garden by ourselves and leave the fuddy duddys at home.

You don't like the culvers? They're like the Ritz-Carlton of fast food Sparky.

You could have tried one of their meals. Like an Alaskan Cod Fish Fry, that's as good as any sit-down restaurant I've ever had.
