it had a propane tank that was venting out the top after the hoses burned, they ran as soon as it started to melt.

I just went to look out the window again and its burning on this end pretty good again. Not like the big firestorm but pretty good flames.

I can see flames cresting the hill across from us again. It seems to be coming back on the already burned area. I think I might sleep a little now. Its also getting pretty smoky.

I finally went to bed around 2 after the fire died down for the night, it is still pretty calm from this side. The forcasted high is 105 today and a red flag fire warning was issued to the firefighters. Red flag is the most dangerous fire weather conditions, this is when it really gets bad. Please those of you that pray, do so for the firefighters they are going to need it. I'm going back to bed now....

well I was wrong it didn't die down is was just burning further the other direction. It is now 2000+ acres and burning really close to a housing development of about 300 homes.

He isn't off yet, the are only allowed a 12 hour shift normally and he is going in 22. I heard that 7 structures were lost.

I hear slurry bombers about every 5 minutes. The come in circle around over our house and then drop the slurry on the ridge.... its very cool to watch..

I heard from my uncle he is home....safe. He and his partner saved 12-13 homes by burning everything around, its called back fires. He said he was scared ****less a couple times when the fire was coming at them.

he is going to sleep and as soon as he wakes up head back. They are sooooo shorthanded they are letting them make the call on how long they sleep. I'm sure he will go back in 5 or 6 hours.

The fire is completly contained finally... My coworker got to go home today, this is her barn. It used to be white, lol. I just found the picture online and thought it was cool.

this did not sound good, but I am glad it was handled well. when I saw them pics of the fire 1/4 mile away I freaked. I am glad it turned out much better than it could have!

My mom has a convertable geo and got slurried a few summers ago. She was driving in the hills and a truck was on fire and started the trees. Once in a while I still will notice a spot on the interior.
