Oh and Allycat made me come pick her up from work, she thought she needed to come home for some reason.

That sounds like something that we would do!

It's great to just be a kid sometimes. Or all the time. Whatever.

I went grocery shopping on Saturday and ended up with an extra kid (my daughter's BF). Sunday I went school shopping. I am so mad at K-mart right now. They had their advertisements on tv saying what the prices were, so I went there. My son's school sells gift certificates to stores (scrip is what it's called) and K-mart is one of the stores, so I bought some and went there to give my kids school some money instead of walmart. SO - I get my cart, which has a sales ad already in it, and get what I need (or what they had that I needed, what a pathetic display of school supplies. No protractors, no erasable ink pens, no red pens, not much of anything) and head to checkout. The price comes up to more than I thought it would and I check my receipt and let them know that the prices aren't right. Some flippant woman who was the manager says "Oh, that's the wrong sales ad. It ended yesteday. Those prices aren't valid anymore." To which I replied "Then you should make sure that you don't have them in the carts so that people will not think that these are the prices." If I hadn't been running late, I would have just handed it back to them and gotten my money back. The store was dirty, they had very little I needed and the employees were not helpful. I will not shop at the store again. Then I got home and we were supposed to BBQ. Hubby knew this. He didn't have the grill going and I ended up doing all the cooking. I was furious since he was supposed to have gone with us anyway and backed out at the last minute. My cell phone also died and now I have to go get a new one today on the way home. I'm so glad the weekend's over. Sorry to kvetch, but I needed the release.

I've had weeks like that Trish. Our K-Mart is kinda dirty too. And I hate it when stores do stuff like that, it's misleading. I'm making my friend's wedding dress, and of course she picked out fabric that was discontinued and out of stock at every local store. So I end up driving an hour to a store in Indy that is about a mile away from the Speedway on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. I've got a coupon for 40% off of the fabric, but when I go to check out, the coupon wasn't valid until the next day. The clerk wouldn't let me use it, and wouldn't work with me whatsoever, even though I explained how far I had to drive to get it. They wouldn't even take my money and mail it to me or my local store or anything. So I ended up spending a total of 4 hours of driving time just to get some darn fabric!

That is so horrible, Molly. What happened to customer service? I know we've touched on this before, but it's worth saying again. I would never treat one of my customer's that way. Well, I don't deal with them that often, but the ones I do deal with love me because I will bend over backward to make sure what they get is done how they want it. I believe a job worth doing is worth doing well. It seems like anymore the more I deal with retail, they just believe it's a job. That's it.

I will not go to K-mart to shop. I think the last time I was in one was maybe 10 yrs ago. The aisles weren't even aisles. boxes everywhere and crackhead employees just standin around. Total ghetto.

Just another reason to shop local. You get awesome service when the cashier is the owner!

K-Mart sucks! Ya.....

Our Kmart has the filthiest bathroom I have ever seen! I refuse to go in there. I bet that floor hasn't been scrubbed in 20 years.
